Operation Catrina

A Message from Catrina Farnell:

First of I just want to say thanks to you for all your help, I really appreciate it. I have been able to make a few small trips out so far, and it’s been incredible!

My mobility remains the same, since after the Cauda Equina a few years ago, (my legs give way occasionally) so sometimes I need the wheelchair when I can’t move them at all. But I try to use my crutches as much as I can.

I haven’t had any head pain, sickness or fainting since the operation to seal the CSF leak, and it feels amazing to have less pressure in my head, and to be able to get out of the house again.

I do have to say that I have a complex problem with my back, it’s a longstanding issue that I continue to deal with. However, I can cope with that, and I’m hoping to regain some sort of normality to my life now that the CSF leak has been sealed.

We haven’t reached the total sum needed yet, and we are still a way off. But there are fundraising events currently being planned.

I never expected so much kindness and support from everyone. I can’t thank people enough for everything they have done for me, and I look forward to coming to Church to thank everyone personally.

Hope you had a lovely Easter. Catrina xx
