Christmas Offering:
Priests receive a small salary every year and the collections taken at Christmas and Easter are a substantial part of the annual taxable income of a parish priest.
Priests are responsible for paying for their own car, phone, travel, and other living expenses and your support in this collection helps your parish priest immensely in carrying out his ministry.
Giving to the Christmas collection is also an opportunity to support the parish too since the offering can be gift-aided and the gift-aid is retained by the parish.
You can also give on Christmas using the card machine.
