The Easter Offering:
Our parish priests live on a small annual salary and in the Diocese of Leeds, the collections taken at Christmas and Easter are what make up a substantial amount of the annual taxable income of a parish priest.
Giving generously to the Easter collection is not only a way for parishioners to support their parish priest but also to give to the parish at the same time, since the offering can be gift-aided and the 25% extra from the gift-aid is retained by the parish.
You can also give on Easter by using the card machine, or if you wish to make an offering by direct bank transfer, please reference the donation as ‘Easter Offering.’
