Diocesan Roadmap out of Lockdown

Places of worship in England are able to operate with very few restrictions.

Even though social distancing and mask-wearing are no longer being enforced by the government, mask-wearing at Mass is highly encouraged if possible.

Singing is also once again allowed in churches from next weekend, but please leave your hymnals in the pews so they can be sanitized after Mass.

We will not have the limited numbers like before, so you do not need to book a ‘ticket’ at Mass anymore to guarantee a seat, but people are asked to give their name

when entering Church since we are asked to continue the ‘track and trace’ programme.

If you’re on the current booking-in list, we already have your phone number so don’t worry about giving it when you arrive.

After Mass, you can leave Church from either door at St Joseph’s. At Our Lady Of Lourdes, the system of leaving through the sacristy will remain in place for now.

The churches will continue to be sanitized after every Mass to ensure they are kept as clean and safe as possible.
