EXTRAORDINARY MONTH OF MISSIONARY OCTOBER 2019-10-02
The Holy Father has dedicated this October as an Extraordinary Missionary Month. Pope Francis tells us, ‘Everyone has the right to hear the Good News that God loves them’.
October initiates a period of Mission to focus Christian hearts & minds on the promotion of the Gospel good works & outreach, to ‘place the mission of Jesus at the heart of the Church’.
Pope Francis will preside at Mass in St. Peter’s Square, Rome, on Sunday 20th October for World Mission Sunday. The collection that weekend will support Missio in promoting the Gospel worldwide. We are asked to pray & be Missionaries in our own community. More details from missio.org.uk
